Julies Tattoo Studio was set up in 1993 by Julie and her husband Steve. The studio is based in Kempston on the outskirts of Bedford.

At the moment the studio has 3 highly professional and experienced Tattoo Artists specializing in Freehand Custom Work, Japanese Oriental, Portraits, Tribal, Maori, Polynesian and Biomechanical and fine line small designs as well as Traditional and New Skool ,Old School  tattooing.

We are more than happy to work from your own designs, photographs or your own reference books.

The studio can always accommodate walk-ins for smaller tattoos but we do advise to call ahead to check availability, although appointments are needed for larger pieces.Custom tattoos take time to design and draw up, we do not charge for this time or the design but we do require a deposit to be left on all appointments.

Our opening times are Monday to Saturday 10am - 5.30 pm.

We reopen after Christmas on Weds 4th Jan normal opening hours.

We are registered and regulated by the Bedfordshire Environmental Health Department and strive to adhere to the most up to date practices and techniques within our trade.Our premises are modern, clean and hygienic.

All our sterilization equipment is modern and tested daily. ALL customers have NEW needles and ink.  We take your welfare very seriously.

Body Piercing

We are limited on the types of piercings carried out in the studio.

Piercings will only be carried out on persons aged 16 years and above. For some piercings the requirement is 18 years and above. Photo I.D. will be required to prove your age. Please call the studio for more information. People under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent and bring photo I.D.

Ear Piercing

Lobe piercing is carried out on persons over the age of 5.

Nose Piercing

Nose piercing is carried out using a palm pressure gun specifically designed for nose piercing that is recommended by the local health authority. The age requirement is 16 years and above.

Tattoo's

You must be 18 in order to get a tattoo, this is the law under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1968.
This is regardless of parental consent and we will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.

If you are 18 or older but don't look it we strongly recommended you bring photo I.D

(Recent Passport or Driving License) to prove your age. ID will be inspected closely.

All customers are required to complete a disclaimer form which gives brief details of medical history before the procedure is carried out.

Aftercare instructions are given to every customer to give guidance and advice after leaving the studio.
